Not a law firm

MigrationProvision is not a law firm. We are not registered with the Nederlandse Orde van Advocaten. We do not perform reserved legal services (litigation, court representation, on-record substantive legal advice).

Not a government body

MigrationProvision is a private commercial entity. We are not the IND, the Ministry of Justice, the Ombudsman, the European Ombudsman, the OHCHR or any other administrative authority. We address those bodies on behalf of users, in the same way any individual may.

What we do

• Assess whether a Notice of Default is the appropriate procedural step in a given immigration case.
• Generate the Notice of Default (Ingebrekestelling), Ombudsman complaints, court Letters of Concern and UN Special Rapporteur submissions, addressed to the correct authority and citing the correct articles.
• Optionally dispatch the documents by registered mail.
• Log the case in an internal Administrative Stagnation Registry, aggregated and anonymised reports of which are shared with the Nationale Ombudsman and academic researchers.

What we do not do

• We do not give bespoke legal advice. The information on this site and in our documents is procedural and educational. It is not a substitute for advice from a lawyer admitted in your jurisdiction.
• We do not represent clients before any court, tribunal or administrative authority.
• We do not handle the underlying application — visa, residence permit, naturalisation.
• We do not promise outcomes. We trigger statutory mechanisms; whether the authority decides yes or no remains entirely with that authority.
• We do not assess immigration eligibility, asylum strength, naturalisation prospects or similar substantive questions.

Accuracy of information

Statutes, treaties and directives cited on this site and in generated documents are verified at the time of release against authoritative sources (wetten.overheid.nl, eur-lex.europa.eu, ohchr.org). Law changes; we re-verify on every release. We cannot, however, guarantee that an external reference will not have changed between two releases. If you spot an error, write to contact@migrationprovision.com — we appreciate the catch.

When you need a lawyer

You need an admitted lawyer (advocaat) — not us — if:

• An appeal (beroep) or higher appeal (hoger beroep) is pending against a decision and you need court representation.
• You are detained or facing removal and require urgent emergency relief.
• The substantive merits of your application require legal argument beyond a procedural notice.
• You are subject to criminal-immigration proceedings (Vw 197).

Marketing and look-and-feel

We deliberately avoid imagery, typography or layout that could be mistaken for an official government communication. No state seals, no government typefaces, no "Official notice" banners. Our seal is the MigrationProvision monogram; it is decorative and does not connote any official status.
